LA LAZZARA

The name "La Lazzara" translates roughly from the Aramaic as "God has helped." Based in Otranto, in the historically rich and geographically stunning Salento region of Italy, La Lazzara is home to two kinds of olive oil: the Cellina di Nardò, and the Cima di Melfi. The local ground is rich in natural calcareous sediments, and the water source is slightly salted. These elements, coupled with the sea-breeze that surfaces daily from the cliffs of Sant’Emiliano, give La Lazzara oils a flavor not found anywhere else in the world. To guarantee the highest possible quality and protect environmental diversity, our olive trees are cared for following ancient traditions and in accordance with the strictest ecological procedures.
